FAQ
How
do we begin?
We begin by first choosing a date. To avoid crowds, it
is best to select a day Monday through Friday and non-Holidays. Next,
is the time of day and this depends on your location. If your wedding
will be an outdoors, you will want to have a early morning or late afternoon
ceremony, which is best suited for photography and videography.
How
do I secure my wedding date?
For our Simple packages, we require a nonrefundable retainer
of $100.00 U.S. dollars to confirm your wedding date and begin planning.
This retainer will be applied towards your wedding. For items outside
of the packages such as; location site fees, catering, musicians, etc.,
additional retainers maybe needed.
What
happens once I secure my wedding date with a retainer?
Once your retainer is received, a confirmation letter that includes your
information will be sent to you. This will help you plan and prepare your
wedding day. You may contact us with your questions by phone or e-mail.
If you get our voice mail, we will return your call as soon as possible.
What's
the best time to call?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
PST (Pacific Standard Time). If you miss us for any reason, just leave
a message and we will get back to you. Please do not forget your name,
phone number, and wedding date.
Time
difference?
Hawaii does not observe daylight savings time. During the
spring months, Hawaii is 6 hours behind the East Coast (EST), 5 hours
behind the Midwest, 3 hours behind the West Coast (PST). When daylight
savings time is not in effect Hawaii is 2 hours behind the West Coast;
4 hours behind the Midwest and 5 hours behind the East Coast.
Tipping?
A gratuity for good service is the norm in Hawaii.
Locations
These ceremony sites have been selected because they satisfy
most or all of these concerns. If you don't see an example of what you
had in mind, we can find a perfect place for you.
Are
the locations free
or is there costs for using these sites?
Generally,
public areas are free some require permits which has a small fee
Semiprivate or private sites such as hotel beach locations, private estates,
chapels, and specially built gardens will charge a site fee which is usually
in addition to the wedding services you have requested. When
a site is located out of town, there will be additional travel fees or
costs.
How
long does it take to get my photos and video?
Before you leave, we make every effort to have your wedding
photography and videography ready for pickup at the studio. We will work
around your schedule as much as possible. Occasionally, wedding videos
are mailed directly to you using FedEx so that the package can be tracked.
Do
you have any advice to help insure a "smooth" wedding day?
Yes, be on time to your wedding! The sun sets fast in the
tropics with very little twilight time. Once the sun has set, there is
not enough available light for the photographer or videographer to capture
the ceremony. You have put a lot of time and energy into planning your
wedding and when your special day comes, enjoy it and let us take care
of the details.
What
is the weather like?
Hawaii is ideal for weddings and honeymoons. With our gentle trade winds
and clear sunny skies, the average temperature is about 80 degrees.
Final
details?
Upon your arrival to our office, we will confirm all your
personal wedding details and all final payments will made at that time.
We accept cash, Travelers checks, money orders, VISA / MasterCard. Personal
checks are accepted for retainers only. Or if it is received 3 week prior
to services.
